Five Wonderful Years!!

It's hard to believe that 5 years ago today Mike and I were married for all time and eternity,
in the Bountiful UT temple.  I will never forget that day.
It was absolutely beautiful, even though it was freezing.
It was a perfect day in every way!
Mike has turned out to be the perfect man, husband, and father.  He is one of the most loving and giving people I have ever met.  He always puts others before himself.  He doesn't hesitate to lend a helping hand to anyone with a computer problem.  Also, I haven't had to touch the vacuum in 5 years and many nights I don't have to worry about cleaning up dinner or doing the dishes, especially on bath night.
He is a wonderful father, who is more than happy to have two beautiful little girls to care for, and I think is a little nervous about having a boy.  I can't believe it's been 5 short years, and we have 2 1/2 little ones.  Where has time gone?  And what were we thinking?

We celebrated our anniversary last week when I went to Utah for his company Christmas party.
We started the night at the Radison for dinner, then off to see the Jazz game and then Mike
had reserved a room at the Anniversary Inn for us to stay that night.
We stayed at the Anniversary Inn the night after our wedding, so it was nice to stay again.
I almost felt guilty being away from the girls and having my husband all to my self, however they were well looked after by Mom (Mike's Mom) and had more fun then I could have imagined.
I don't remember when I had had such a restful night!  It was great to get away and I am longing for him to come home this weekend and be with his family.  We have missed him being away for so long.

Just the other day Izabella asked me about a picture hanging on our wall.  I told her that it was a picture of the Bountiful Temple where mommy and daddy were married.  She told me that it was beautiful and that she wanted to be married there someday.  I couldn't be a happier mother than to know that she wants to be married in the temple, even if it is just because mommy and daddy were.

For Mikey

You're the first thing I think of

Each morning when I rise
You're the last thing I think of
When I close my eyes

You're in each thought I have
And every breath I take
My feelings are growing stronger
With every move you make

You're an angel from above
who takes away my pain
My love for you is so strong
It's always just the same

You're the miracle in my life
Who can always make me smile
Just knowing that you care
Makes my life worth-while

You've touched my heart and soul
Which you have from the start
Your warm soft words
Will never leave my heart

You are everything I want
You're so pure and true
I love you with everything I have
And I love everything that you do.

I love you Mikey!!  Happy Anniversary!!

What's Up Wednesday!!

Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow!!

That's right this morning we woke up to snow!!  And even though it will not stick they are big, beautiful, full snowflakes.  I just want to curl up on the couch with a warm cup of hot apple cider and watch it fall.
To bad I have to get up and get moving, get two girls ready for day care, my self ready for work and then go to work all day.  Good thing I have some big windows to look out.
Maybe I'll just take a moment and lose myself in the beauty of snow while I try to answer phones.

Izabella is so excited.  She couldn't wait to tell her daddy it was snowing.
She wanted me to put on her big puffy winter coat, her gloves, hats, and her snow pants.
I told her that was going a little over board so she settled for her big coat, gloves and hat.
Needless to say, she looked like a large pink marshmallow walking into day care today.
But I guess it's worth it to have a happy little 2 almost 3 year old!

Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow!!

Love you all,

Halloween

Finally the big day arrived! Izabella became Tinker Bell at 9:00 am. At about 12:00 pm her friend Colton came over and we took Izabella, Colton, Cody, and Abigail all to the CSI carnival. There were so many people there it was crazy, however, I think the kids really enjoyed themselves. They got to dig for candy in sand and in tubs or cotton balls, spin for different prizes, including tooth brushes and tooth paste that mommy was happy to get. Izabella’s favorite thing was to make a paper ghost on a pop sickle stick. Then a large scary Gorilla had to ruin the fun. Why do people dress up like scary things at a family function? This guy scared her to death and ended the fun for everyone. It was alright though, because it was nap time.

After naps everyone came over to our house again and we all made personal sized pizzas. Colton and Bella loved making their own pizzas, and of course they had to match perfectly. I think we all really enjoyed ourselves.
Then it was off to Trunk-or-Treat to fill our buckets for a second time. Izabella brought home so much candy I think her and daddy will be set until Christmas.
We took pictures of all the kids before we went to CSI but I can’t get it to load for some reason. Plus, it was almost impossible to get four kids three and under to hold still for a single picture. I will try and get a couple of Abigail posted very soon. She was a yellow duck and was Oh So Cute, even if she didn’t like her hat.

Love you all lots,

The Plane Family

So "What's Up Wednesday's" have not been going very well lately.  I guess I just have to much to do with work, taking care of the house, getting ready to move,  raising two beautiful girls and trying to grow a baby.  I never realized how fast time could fly until now.  I can't believe that in one week I will be "30".  It seems so old, even though I really don't feel that old.  And I really can't believe that in March, I will have 3 kids 3 years old and under.  Wow!!!

That's right!  In case you hadn't heard I am expecting.  We are due March 19th and we have broken our streak and will be looking for things of blue!!  WE ARE HAVING A LITTLE BOY!!

But that is not the end of our good news.  Mike got a new job and we will be moving.  Moving to Ogden Utah.  Mike will be doing something with computers on Hill Air Force Base as a contract worker for a large company.  We can not wait to start our new adventure in Utah.  Mike will be starting work in a week and the girls and I will follow sometime before Christmas.  The best thing about this new job is that I will be able to stay home with my children.  I am so excited to be able to spend more time with them.  We will also be living closer to Mike's brother Jeff, his wife Emily and their three kids: Justin, Hailey, and Kara.  Izabella can't stop talking about living close to her cousins and being able to go over and play with them.

So that's about all that is going on with the Plane family right now.  I promise to work harder on posting more often, and when I'm not working anymore I hope I will be able to use nap time to right down some of my thoughts.  Talk to you all soon!

Just A Funny Story

I can't believe I forgot to post this funny little story....

When Izabella falls down and scrapes her knee I tell you what my parents told me, "Well it looks like we may need to cut it off!"  Then I act like my fingers are scissors and starting cutting her leg off, or whatever else is injured.
So the other day when we were helping Mark and Katrina move, Izabella fell down when she was running around out side (I was inside preparing dinner for everyone).  Daddy thought he would try and make her laugh like mommy does.  So he told Bella something along the lines that her owe was so bad she was going to die.  Unfortunately, she has seen more death then a lot of kids her age, losing two great grandparents with in six short months.  Bella lost it.  By the time she got inside she was in complete hysterics.
"I'm going to Die Mommy, Daddy Says I'm going to DIE!!!"
"That means I won;t live with you any more!"

To make a long story short, it took us about 30 mins to calm her down and talk her out of the idea that she was dieing.  Now we just have to watch what we say to her, and how we say it.

"What's up Wednesday?"

Will my husband ever learn that vanilla ice cream and a double chocolate chip chocolate brownies in not a suitable breakfast for our 2 1/2 year old daughter.  For the last two mornings I have come out to the kitchen table to see the two of them chowing down before we leave for the day.  Mike excuse is when you have Celiacs and someone makes something good, you enjoy it as much, and as often as you can!!

"What are people going to think when my little girl is covered in Chocolate at 8:00 am in the morning!!" Me

"You have one very happy little girl!"  Mike

Bella just smiles from ear to ear.

"What's Up Wednesday!"

Two Years Old and Driving!!

So this week our friends the Surbaugh's had there entire family home for a little family reunion.  So we spent a lot of time over there this week playing games and eating great food!!  We were hoping to get out on the water a little in the boat or to go swimming in Cole's pool, however, Mike and I were always at work when they did this.  With the whole family there we were all out numbered by kids, eight in all ranging from age 8 to 8 months.  It was a lot of fun to see Amanda and Erin and their families, along with meeting Mark and Mimi and their beautiful little girls.  I hope they all come back for a visit soon.

Well on with the story.  On Wednesday night all the adults were inside talking, and preparing dinner while Nicole and all the kids were running around in a the back yard.  Then out of nowhere we heard a large "BOOM!"  and I heard the cry of Izabella.  Before I could even react Mark was out the door and came back in with Bella in his arms.  I sat in the rocking chair trying to settle her down as one by one each parent came in to ask me if she was OK.  Then I heard Fred say that they needed to move the golf cart of the rock it was high centered on.  No one had seen what happened, and I needed to know.  So after a lot of coxing this is the story I got from my little Izabella:

All the big kids where playing on the golf cart pretending to drive it and they wouldn't let her on.  When they all decided to go find sticks to play swords, Bella climbed on the golf cart to pretend drive.  But it wasn't as much fun with out all the other kids.  So she decided to get off and go play with them.  The key to the golf cart was in the ignition and left in the on position, so when she tried to get off she sat on the gas peddle and off she went, across the yard through the garden and high centered onto a large rock before she was thrown 20 yards into the dirt.

Thankfully no one was hurt, Izabella has a couple bruise on the knees, chest and cheek, but mostly I think she was just a little scared of here first driving experience.

The funniest thing is that when Mike first met Fred he had to come in and tell Fred that he had wrecked his truck.  So that means there has been two generations of Plane's that have wrecked one of the Surbaugh's vehicles.  Watch out world...Bella is already 2 and starting to drive!!

"What's Up Wednesday!"

A sad good-bye to such great friends.
We spent the evening helping Mark and Katrina load up their U-haul.  On Friday they will be leaving Twin Falls for their new home in Montana while Mark attends law school.  Mike and Mark have been friends since they were about 10 years old.   They have been best friends ever since.  I met Katrina about 8 years ago, and we became instant friends.  Before long we were roommates.  So it was only natural that Mark and Katrina should meet when Mike and I started dating.  You see, Mike lived with Mark and his family.  So roommates meet, date, and marry.
We are really going to miss you guys.  I am going to have find someone to come over and eat my experimental dinners, and my left overs.  And I only hope I can find someone to keep Mike out of my hair in the evenings. We love you both and will always consider you friends and family.  Remember if you ever need anything we are only a phone call away.  Take care in Montana and remember to keep in touch.  You may be moving but you will never be to far from our hearts.  We wish you all the best in the adventure that lays before you and we are already antiously awaiting your next visit home.
Good-bye to friends!!  Good-bye to family!!
We love you...Mark, Katrina, and Whitney

Love,

Mike, Stefanie, Izabella, and Abigail

"What's Up Wednesday"

So after some persistent messages from Anika I agree that I need to post more frequently. Today is Wednesday and as suggested by the above this will be my first “What’s Up Wednesday” post.

I have so much to post about our families adventure to Royal City, Washington this last weekend that I will have to post again this weekend. So today I just want to post this beautiful picture of my girls. While we were home this weekend, a friend of mine from high school took the girls photo. She has started her own little photography business and was so willing to help me photograph my growing babies. I just want to thank her and tell her how much I appreciate her time and her talents. All the pictures I have seen so far have taken my breath away!! What do you think?

What's UP!!

I know I am really slacking when it comes to Blogging. I am amazed at how busy life is when you have 2 little girls, a husband, a dog, a church calling and a full time job. I always thought that life would be easier when I grew up. Now I wish I was 2 and a half again. I really wish Izabella didn’t think life was so hard at her age. She is in for an awakening when she’s may age.

It feels like so much has happened in that last couple of months, even though none of it has been very exciting.
I hate working and having to take my girls to daycare every day. I feel like I am missing out on so much. However, I do love my job and just received a promotion and a raise…so I really can’t complain. My housework is falling further behind and I never have time to do what I want or just spend time with Mike, yet we always find time to laugh and play as a family and that is so much fun.
Izabella is now 2 ½ years old, and don’t forget the half. She is full of so much energy and is learning to much way to fast. “Bella DO IT!!” is her favorite phrase and she never wants help doing anything. Except for, “Mommy Bella done!!” that comes from the bathroom when she is done after she has told me to leave. She always refers to herself in the third person. Bella loves going to day care. Every morning when she wakes up the first thing she asks me is “Mommy, Bella go to Kelly’s today?” On Saturday’s when I tell her she gets to stay home with mommy she asks if daddy will be home too, then it’s ok to stay home with mommy. She is has learned most of her colors, can count to 6 and can put together her alphabet puzzle even though she will not say them to me yet. Drawing and coloring are her favorite past time if she can’t play outside. I think she is going to be quite the artist someday. And her Pappi (my dad), her daddy, and her little sister, A-Bee-Gaaail are the loves of her life. Her biggest complaint about her sister is usually on the way home from day care when she sops out, “Mommy, sister won’t hold my hand!” I hope that their friendship will only grow with time.
Izabella’s celiac blood test came back positive and we need to have her scoped to get a biopsy and confirm the diagnoses. Mike and I have decided to wait till just before she goes to school to have this done. So for now we just keep her on the same Gluten Free Diet as her father, even though we do let her cheat a little here and there. She is learning very quickly what she can and can’t eat. If you offer her Mac and Cheese or Pretzels she will now tell you “No, that makes my tummy hurt. Bella can only eat mommy’s”.
Abigail is really getting big. She is going to eat me out of house and home when she’s older if her appetite doesn’t slow down. I can’t believe how big she is. She’s twice the size Izabella was at 6 ½ month, but she’s still only in the 30th percentile for both her height and weight. She holds her own bottle now, even though she would rather eat cereal or her veggies. Yes Veggies, she is really not a fruit girl. Abi is sitting up on her own, and rolling all over the house. In fact, yesterday I caught her doing the WORM a crossed the living room floor. Yes, I mean the dance move. She looks so funny and cute all at the same time. It’s not going to be long before she is crawling and then I will be in trouble. She’s going to be into everything I just now it!!
Mike is still job hunting and we are really hoping he hears from someone soon. We love Twin Falls, and don’t want to leave, however, we are ready to move on. We are anxious to get a house and to start settling down a little. Izabella already has her new room all planned out. There will be something Tinker bell covering every inch of her room. Mike is getting anxious too. He really loves his job and doesn’t want to leave, but I think he’s ready for me to stay home with the girls.
So that is what is up with the Plane family. We have had some family pictures taken and will be having more taken this weekend while we are in Royal City on vacation. So I will fill you all in on that adventure later, with lots of pictures to include as well. And I am going to try harder to post more often. I might have to try what Anika does and make a day that I will be sure to post weekly. That might be the best idea.

Take care, Love you all,

Mike, Stefanie, Izabella, and Abigail Plane

So I have been told by a lot of people that my girls look nothing a like.  I'm not so sure.  Sometimes I look at Abigail and I see Izabella when she was that age.  Then there are other times I look at her and she is distinctly her own person.
So I'm going to put you all to the test!
Following are 5 sets of photos of the girls (for some reason I couldn't get them all side by side).  I want you to tell me which one is which.  Have fun!!!

Here is a picture of each of the girls when they were in the hospital.
These where the girls baby photos.  Do you know who is who?

Both of my girls love sitting in their bouncers!
Just laying in their cribs!

Both girls love to play...look at them smile!!

I think when they were first born the girls had many similarities.  However, as they grow they do look different.  You can tell they are sisters, but they do have their own looks.  And I hope Abigail's hair keeps growing, she already has as much as Bella did on her first birthday!

Love you all,

The Planes

Abigail

I cannot believe that my baby is already 4 months old!!  She is growing up way to fast for me.  At her check up last week she weighed 12.5 lbs and was 26 in long.  That's a lot bigger then Bella was at that age.  She has a very healthy appetite wakes up only one time a night, and her favorite person in the world is her big sister.  Izabella is so good with Abigail.  They love to play together, read books and Bella plays "This Piggy" and "Patty Cake" with her daily.  I couldn't have been blessed with more sweet girls...I just wish they weren't growing up so fast!!!

I love my girls!!

Love you,

Daddy Daughter Date

So last weekend Mike decided that Izabella and he needed to have an official Daddy Daughter Date...it was decided that Saturday night this would happen.  While I was at work for the day, Daddy and Bella built a huge fort in Bella's bedroom and then I was sent on a grocery run before I was allowed to come home.  Mike and Bella made a pancake dinner and were off to the fort with dinner and movies.

After dinner and movies they broke out the good stuff...Chocolate Milk, Ice Cream, Crackers and Cheese and a couple other goodies.

The fort kind of came down half way into the first move so they could see better.
I don't think any of us need to wonder were Izabella gets her cheese ball smile!!
I think this was what I finally found after the third movie for the night!!

Both Daddy and "Izzy" (what daddy calls her now) had so much fun and are looking forward to their next Daddy Daughter Date night which will be held under the stars!!

Love you,

The Plane Family

Bubbles with Daddy

For Easter Nana sent Bella a whole sloe of things, including bubbles...What kid doesn't love bubbles~!  So the other day Daddy and Izabella went outside to see if they had the magic to make BIG Bubbles...

I think the achieved their goal.  What do you think?

Bella trying to figure out how to blow small bubbles...
Daddy steps in to help!!
At least she knows how to chase them!
Daddy blowing more and more bubbles...
"Bella get um, Bella get um ALL!!!"
Now it's Bella's turn to blow bubbles.

I'm not sure if Daddy and Bella had more fun or if Abigail and I did watching them.  This was really a fun family activity that we will have to do again very soon.

Love you,

The Plane Family

Easter

We spent Easter in Nampa at Mike's parents this year.  Izabella loves spending time with Grandma and Grandpa and it is sure more relaxing then being at home.  A two year old and a three month old can really take a toll on ones sleep, energy, patients, and even my sanity sometimes.  I was so relaxing to share this day with Grandma and Grandpa.
Saturday night Izabella colored Easter Eggs.  She had so much fun!!
Cheesy Smile as she turns her eggs in the color.
She was really working hard on all those eggs.
Grandma even joined in on the fun!!

Easter morning was great!! The girls both received some great things and Izabella's excitement and joy made my entire day
This was Izabella's basket... well actually it was her stool.  She had been wanting a stool to have in the bathroom so she could go potty all by herself and it made a very useful basket.
Abigail's Easter Basket!!
Easter morning Bella was loving her new Ducky!!
Abigail loved her little purple bunny!!
The Easter Bunny hide eggs of candy through out the front room and I have to say after a month of practice and the Easter egg hunt the day before, the Easter Bunny didn't stand a chance.  She found every egg with in minutes!!

Mommy and Abigail enjoying Easter morning!!

Love you,

The Plane Family

Mike was adopted into the Jenk's family years ago, so as he has added to the family we have all in turn become part of the wonderful family as well. I remember the first year Mike and I went to the Easter Egg Hunt. I had got up early and dressed my best so that I was prepared to meet this family. I will never forget Amanda asking me in horror, "That's not what you're wearing is it?". I guess my tan pants and cute pink shirt was not acceptable, and I found out why. This Easter Egg hunt is a full out war between each individuals as they try desperately to find as many of the thousand eggs that have been hidden. The prize, you're name on the family winner plaque. Not to mention that it is an all out battle between the hunters and the hiders to see who is better. I couldn't believe it. It was so much fun to watch. I'm not sure if I will ever be brave enough to hunt, but we'll just have to wait till next year.
Last year was Izabella's first year to hunt and she did very well and found six eggs. This year we started practicing in our back yard about two weeks before and she was ready. In fact Mike had to hold her back at the starting line. All she wanted to do was find those eggs.
Daddy and Bella ready for the hunt!
Holding Bella back until it's time.
Erin and her boys, Luke and Jacob ready to hunt some eggs.
Go Bella, Go!!!
She did very well again this year and found 17 eggs. The whole time running from egg to egg yelling, "Bella find them, Bella find those eggs." Then jumping for joy and shouting, "Bella did it, Bella found the egg." every time she found one. It was so much fun watching her fill her little Easter egg bucket.
Bella and Daddy after the egg hunt.
Look at all those eggs!!
At the end she was not willing to give up her eggs. We had practiced with plastic eggs full of candy and she wanted her candy. What she didn't realize was that she had hunted real eggs and there was no candy inside. She found that out after tarring on of her eggs open. Then she was willing to turn in her eggs for a bag of candy.
Erin counting Izabella's eggs.
During the teenagers hunt Izabella helped Crayson out by pulling out 5 eggs from under this wood pile. She pulled them out and then walked away casually just as Crayson came around the corner and found them laying there. Way to go Bella.
Mike was a hider the year and I think they won. They hid or rather buried thousands of eggs in an alfalfa field. You had to dig to find them, and the ones you didn't have to dig for you didn't see until you almost or did in fact step right on them.
During the adult hunt Mike and I were walking around looking for eggs that they had missed and Bella walked with us. She found two eggs laying in the grass. Then when she found out some where buried in the dirt she didn't waist anytime digging in and found three more eggs. Making a grand total of 27 eggs found for the day...Way to go Bella.
Grandma Char and Nicole heading out to the hunt.
Rachael on the hunt!!
Papa Fred brings his golf cart every year to keep up with all the action.
Here is Papa Fred and Izabella watching the adult Easter egg hunt.
We had left Abigail with Grandpa and Grandma Plane since it had snowed the day before and we weren't sure how warm it was going to be. It ended up being a great day, however, it was fun being able to spend a day with Bella and I think Grandpa and Grandma enjoyed having Abi. Thank you so much.
Here are a few more pictures of Izabella eating and playing at the BBQ.
That is one big Strawberry...and she ate the whole thing.

Now it's time for dessert!!! Yummy pink cupcake.
Running on the trailer with Luke was so much fun!!

Smile Bella!! I think all that hunting wore her out.
Love ya,

Michael, Stefanie, Izabella and Abigail
