This last weekend Mike and I took Izabella to the BYU Ballroom Dance Company show in Provo. Mike has a couple of cousins that dance, and we thought it would be something new for Bella to experience. Mike's cousin Megan was on Tour in California, so we didn't have the opportunity to see her, however, we were able to watch Shannon and her husband Shane . All I can say is it was incredible. Mike has been telling Izabella for some time now that she should do ballroom dancing instead of ballet, and I think both her and I agree with him now.
The BYU Ballroom Dance Company Tour Team is the undefeated U.S. National Formation Team Champions and the current British Open Formation Team Champions, so to watch them dance is...WOW!!
I want to thank Shannon and Shane for this wonderful opportunity and to tell them that they are so amazing!! I only hope we will be able to see the two of them dance again very soon.
Here are some pictures...
This is the Tour group girls. Shannon is pictured in the front on the left side. She has beautiful red hair, however she did have to paint her hair like the rest of the girls.
This was a beautiful theatrical art to High on the Mountain Top and it was so elegant. Shannon is pictured here on the right side.
This was a great Cha cha danced by both Shannon and Shane.
Shannon is in the middle in yellow while the company performed the Lindy!
You are so beautiful Shannon!!
This is a picture of Izabella's favorite dress the girls whore. She loved the rainbow colors.
This was an amazing tribute dance to America. It was so beautiful and I love the way the flag was incorporated into the dresses.
This is a picture of Shane performing a amazing lift. "GO Shane!" Bella thought you were so strong and keeps asking her daddy to lift her up so she can pose.
We love you Shannon and Shane and hope that we will be able to watch you dance many times in the near future. Izabella is hoping to see you both soon so you can teach her how to dance. Thanks for getting such amazing tickets for us to watch you and your company dance. This was a day we will not forget. I think you have both helped inspire a future dancer. Keep dancing!!
We also need to thank Sheri for helping us with the other two kids. Wayne I think you really managed to win over little Abigail before we left. We hope to see you and your wonderful family again very soon.
Love you,
Micheal, Stefanie, Izabella, Abigail, and Miles
The other day I decided to take some time and try to get my three little ones to pose for a picture or two.
This proved to be harder then I thought, however I managed to get a few good shots.
Here they are:
My hansomd little man. This was his blessing outfit made by my Aunt Debbie. It was made out of the last whilte church shirt my grandfather ever ware. This was very sentimental expecially because Miles was given my grandfathers middle name. This is Miles Delano Pane!!
I can't help but think I have have very beautiful children. I have truely been blessed.
Love you all,
Micheal, Stefanie, Izabella, Abigail, and Miles
Well if you ask me, Labor and Delivery are still the easiest part about being pregnant. I'm not sure why I get so nervous about it. I was expecting for things to go very quickly again this time like they did with Abigail. So much that both the Doctor and I were worried about me getting to the hospital on time to deliver, let alone to be able to get the antibiotic I needed for being Strep B Positive. However, this was the longest Labor I have had so far.....
At about midnight Wednesday Night, Thursday Morning I woke up and thought my water had broke. I know what you're thinking. This is your third, shouldn't you know if your water has broken. Well, I thought it had, so we called Mike's brother Jeff to come over and stay with the girls. We made it to the hospital about 12:45am and everything was very relaxed. I was having minor contractions about every 15 mins, so thinks were fine. The labor and delivery ward was backed up with a couple of emergencies so we waited patiently. After a couple of tests it was confirmed that my water had in fact not broken, yet it was leaking and I was dilated to 6 cm plus. So it was decided that I would be admitted and that antibiotics would be started. Since I am highly allergic to Sulfa, doctors are very weary of giving me penicillin, so I was given a different antibiotic that takes four long hours to get into your system to stop the transfer on the Strep B infection to the baby. I was dreading this...good things my contractions almost completely stopped at this point. I was able to get a few hours of sleep while I waited.
My doctor came in at about 7:00 am to check on me. He was very surprised to hear that my water had not been broken yet, so he broke it and ordered Patoisen to be started. Almost immediately contractions started. Within an hour I was ready for my spinal block (this is what I had had with Izabella). It took almost another 45 mins for the doctor to come to administer and epidural. This was an interesting experience. The little "Zing" from the epidural going into my spinal column was by far the most painful part of all my Labor.
By 10:00 am I was fully dilated and ready to deliver. It only took moments for them to prepare the room, and before I knew it we were ready to push. Two very short pushes later, our new little baby boy was born at 10:18 am!
The hospital has found that if they place the baby directly on the mothers chest just after birth that this helps with baby's that have had a lot of distress or problems during delivery. It also helps with warming the body and the bonding of mother and child. So now they offer this to every mother who delivers. I have to say this was a wonderful experience. With both girls, they were born and immediately whisked off to be inspected. It was about four hours after delivery that I even got to see Abigail.
Mike finally got the opportunity to cut the umbilical cord, and said he was surprised at how think and tough it was to cut. Then the nurses laid our little man on my chest and covered us with a warm blanket. This was so awesome, to be able to hold him so close and know that he was here, and everything was ok. It was also amazing to look up at my wonderful husband and see him smiling down at me and his new son.
Even though I was technically in Labor for 10 hours, it was such an amazing experience and I was grateful to no longer be pregnant anymore. Mike was quite tired since he was still awake when we left to go to the hospital and the couch was miserably uncomfortable for sleeping. But he was quite the trooper and didn't leave my side until after we were settled in the recovery room and had eaten lunch. I love him and appreciate him so much.
That night the girls came in to visit mommy and Baby brother. Izabella couldn't wait to see him and hold him and kiss him. Abigail could have cared less about baby brother, she just wanted to see mommy and eat mommy's dinner. It was great that they were able to come to the hospital to visit. When Abigail was born they were having the H1N2 scare in Twin Falls, and wouldn't let anyone under the age of 18 into the hospital to visit. Izabella had to wait four days to see mommy, and five days to see sister. I thought it was going to kill her.
I need to thank Mike for giving up his birthday to stay with me in the hospital. I know that was NOT what he wanted to do. In fact he had threatened to "put the baby back" if I thought about having him on March 10th. I knew from day one that was the day we would be born. I mean its kind of a family tradition now. I share a birthday with my sister Kira (one Year apart), Izabella and Abigail share a birthday (two Years apart), and even the dog shares Mike and My anniversary (she was born the day we were married. Mike was the only one left out. Well, not any more!!
Love you all,
Stefanie Plane
He is here...Baby Boy Plane!!
(as he was know for the first three days of his life)
On March 10th, 2011
at 10:18 am
Miles Delano Plane was born
weighting 6 lbs 7 oz and measuring19.5 inches long.
We are all so happy that he is here and that he is healthy.
Even though dad had to spend his birthday in the hospital,
I think he is happier about sharing this special day with his son then he thought he would be (there was no questions about putting him back, sorry sweetie).
Following are some pictures of our handsome little guy,
the Labor and Delivery story will follow as soon as I can get some free time from my three little angels!
Miles first picture!
Mommy and little Miles
I can't believe that one of my children has hair!! It's blond not red though Brandis.
All of my children have had this expression...I wonder what they are thinking?!
So bright eyed only hours after he came into this world.
Mile's two older sisters couldn't be more excited that he is finally here. They love to hold and kiss him all day long. Abi likes to poke him in the nose, but I guess that's the way a 15 month old shows her love.
He looks just like his Daddy...So handsome.
We love you all and thank you all for your love in return,
Mikey, Stefi, Izabella, Abigail, and Baby Miles
Izabella was away at a friends house and mommy was trying to pack up the kitchen for the big move when Abigail decided that she wanted to help. She opened up the cupboard door and pulled out all my pots and pans.
What fun that was! Now look, here is a fun place to hide!!
In the cupboard I go until mommy finds me... then......
PEEK -A-BOO!!
What a fun game to play. I love having time all alone with my mommy.
Love you all,
Abigail Plane
Incase you didn't already know, my two girls share the same birthday.
Izabella was born at 11:17 pm on December 31, 2007
and
Abigail was born at 5:26 am on December 31, 2009!
So they are exactly 2 years apart.
I decided this year with everything that was going on in our busy little family that I was only going to prepare ONE birthday cake. I know Abigail wouldn't mind much so I asked Izabella what kind of cake she wanted.
To my surprise she wanted a Rapunzel cake (courtesy of the new Disney Tangled movie). Then she found this one on line and had to have it.
"Please mommy, I really want this one! I'll love you forever, ever, ever, and ever if you make this one!"
I had never worked with fondant before, but I decided why not give it a shot.
This is what I came up with.
Izabella loved it, especially the fact that it was over two feet high. She loves her birthday. She picked out her most beautiful dress and had to have her hair done just right. She couldn't wait for all her guests to arrive!!
Since the car at Jeff and Em's was such a big hit with Abigail over Christmas, I just had to get her one. She loves it!!
The girls with their cake!!
Bella really enjoys her sweets!!
Abigail really enjoyed her first experience with cake. In fact she double fisted it!!
Grandma Plane made Izabella a new robe since she grew out of the one she made a couple of years ago. This one has Tinkerbell on it and also had a matching robe for her Kelly Doll!!
Thank you everyone for making the girls' birthday such a wonderful day! We appreciate every ones love and support and are grateful to have you all in our lives. We missed all our family from Washington, and yes Jessica, you too, and we missed out daddy, who was in bed sick for the whole party for the 3rd year in a row. We know your thoughts and hearts were with us.
Love you all,
The Plane's
Catching UP!!
Even though we weren't living in Utah yet, we still all spent Christmas together in Roy/Hooper, Utah, it was a Plane Family Christmas!!
We spent an entire week at Mike's brothers house. Jeff and Emily were wonderful hosts and we all had so much fun. Mom and dad were their and all five grand kids. Justin 7, Hailey 5, Izabella 3(almost), Kara 2 1/2, and Abigail 1 (almost). Abigail was walking by this time and was every were. We had to put up the gate at the stairs so she wouldn't fall down which pretty much locked the little girls down stairs in the play room. But I really don't think they minded much. Grandma spent most of the time down there with them helping dress them up in Princess dresses and playing Barbies and Dolls.
Here is cousin Kara in her cute Ladybug dress!!!
The three oldest granddaughters watching a movie in the playroom.
Justin stayed entertained playing games most of the time, either a WII Nintendo game with Uncle Mikey or card and board games with the rest of the family.
The little car Bella is on was the life of the party. All the kids took turns riding or pushing each other on it. And when the big kids weren't around Abi was pushing it around the kitchen slowly working on her walking skills.
On Christmas Eve all the kids opened a gift of holiday PJ's, aren't they all adorable!
Uncle Jeff read the Christmas story from the scriptures and then The Night Before Christmas. The kids all listened quietly!
Christmas morning was a frenzy as usual. Izabella really made out with a huge haul from Santa and from the rest of the family.
Abigail loved playing with her new toys and everyone Else's.
Daddy go a great Limited Edition Star Trek Watch from Mom and Russ, he loved it!!!
Spending Christmas with family is always so wonderful. We all had a great time together and the kids and I loved being with Daddy for 6 days straight. Thank you Jeff and Emily for a wonderful Christmas and for Mom and Dad for all the yummy goodies (dad loves to bake for Christmas).
Love you all,
The Plane's
Micheal, Stefanie, Izabella, Abigail, and Baby Boy
